Creative practice
A life dipped in creativity and adventure, with a side-order of ideas worthy of daydreams...
Always passionate about arts and creativity. In 2012, blessed with the mentorship and teachings of the late Betsy Kremer, Gemma fell head over heels for lost wax casting.
A creative misfit at heart, Gemma is dedicated to the arts. Celebrating the process of making and bringing ideas to life through making.
You will find her exploring themes of our natural environment, human kind, and, at times, the curious and surreal. For as long as she could wield a pencil, creating art has been an essential tool for her to explore and express ideas and experiences.
In 2009 her Fine Art training explored contemporary installation, print making and life drawing.
In 2012 Gemma’s sculpture practice started. She continues to create a handful of one off original bronze sculptures each year.
Gemma's sculpture is currently exhibited at Pariwhero Gallery, Wellington. You can also enjoy a selection of her work on the portfolio page.
